!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I’ve looked at potential transplants and it is a bit intimidating. I started looking for 2005-2007 Vettes with blown motors for sale and I’m not having much luck. You guys like doing car searches. Well here is your chance. Find me a 2005-2007 Vette, or maybe GTO or CTS-V, in good shape, but needing a heart transplant. Post links below.

“Corvette with a blown motor” might be an oxymoron. Is that a real thing?
Joking aside they could be hard to find since it’s such a stout engine.
Maybe make your own Solstice swap like Mallet does?
Those base model 2.4s aren’t too expensive these days and you already know the LS with fit. Hell, maybe Mallet can even send you a kit to do it?

Limiting yourself there eh?
Any particular reason you’re wanting to go like for like? I mean tremec T56's aren't cheap.

The correct answer is C3 Corvette with no engine.

I have been all over the map. A second gen Trans Am is my first choice. Miata would be #2. Some cool old GM wagon would be in the mix. I just figure dropping where it came from would be quickest and easiest.

I don't think I could get that licensed where I live. In metro Atlanta the car needs to be pre 1998 for them to issue an exemption.

How about an e36 M3? I might have a chassis available which (to my knowledge) still has welded in mounts for an LS and a blown motor.

What series of events resulted in you having an M3 with Chevy engine mounts?

Brother had a pristine M3 on the worst set of 4 tires I’ve seen in my life. Ended up hitting some ice and lost it into a phone pole, bending in the A-pillar. So they found a rolling chassis from a guy in Chicago, who had just uninstalled a turbo’d LS motor to put it into something else. Then they swapped the entire drivetrain from the first to the second, until the oil pump failed and, from what we can tell, blew the engine.
My brother says he will fix it, but it’s been a while and he’s now moving to Cali (long way from the midwest)

If you push it down hill will it roll to Atlanta? Sounds ideal, but it is a long way away.

Unfortunately that is a rather long way away, and I doubt it would carry enough momentum to get through Tennessee.
